Several Thousand Take Part in Jerusalem Gay Pride

About 2,000 people took part in an annual Gay Pride parade in Jerusalem on Thursday which passed off without major incident even though it had been the focus of violent controversy in the past.

Surrounded by about the same number of police, the marchers set off for the kilometre-long (half-mile) parade in central Jerusalem, holding aloft rainbow banners. "We want this parade to go ahead without violence," said Yonathan Leibowicz, of the Jerusalem Open House organisation which organised the event.

2000 Police to Secure Gay Parade

At least 2,000 people marched Thursday in Jerusalem's gay pride parade. The event, which has repeatedly riled religious city residents and caused friction in the past, was mostly uneventful.

Some two hours before the parade, police detained a haredi man for holding an insulting sign against the parade. Several hundred demonstrators protested the parade in Kikar Hashabbat, far from the event's route. Several dumpsters were set ablaze in haredi neighborhoods...

Club Nur PACKED the house last Thursday

The Special 4th of July Club Nur Party was a HUGE one, as we predicted. More than 650 hot Angelinos pack the bar and the hookah lounge on this memorable night. DJ Gevo spun some hot tunes that kept the dancefloor packed and jumping all night long.

To the many new faces who came in and had a blast, we say "Welcome, and hope to see you back soon."

This Thursday you can bet on seeing the hottest boys in town at Club Nur. As always, Club Nur is THE place to be on Thursday night. Don't miss it!!!

Here's a Night at Club Nur

The Club Nur dance floor starts early and doesn't stop til after the lights come on at 2am. We do play mostly Middle Eastern music and dance mixes, and our crowd that has a lot of non-Middle Easterners (see pics above) as well loves dancing and shaking their hips to it. There are always those who steal the show and it's a lot of fun watching them too.
